Our new Trackpicker is a great instrument: a highly accurate 12 channel GPS receiver combined with an integrated data logger with a capacity of up to 120,000 track points (non-volatile memory).

Small dimensions and a 100% water- and dust-proof design, allows use on motorbikes, cars, trucks, boats and aircraft. Velcro tape supplied is resistant to extreme temperatures. All it needs is 12vDC and a view of the sky. It can see thru glass, most plastics, some fibreglas.

At the moment the Trackpicker receives 12v, it starts recording trackpoints at the chosen intervals as you defined in the Trackpicker Manager Software. For example, speed and distance intervals can be considered into logging conditions. Position (latitude and longitude), speed, heading, height and time are stored with high accuracy and a data rate which can be as high as 1 trackpoint per second. And it continues automatically until the 12v supply is terminated. It's trouble-free, and takes no action. If the vehicle key is inn the "on position", it's recording.

The 120,000 trackpoint memory is big enough to record the full track of your entire holiday trip. For example, if set to take a trackpoint every 1/10 mile it can record 12,000 miles. Or set to take a point every 30 seconds, it will record about forty 8-hour days of driving. These features also enable you to record all trips of your complete vehicle fleet or to verify if a prescribed course has been followed during an outdoor or sporting event.

The stored track can be downloaded and analized in TT-QV. It also outputs .gpx format which can be used by many GPS programs including GARMIN's MapSource and Google Earth. Furthermore, the Trackpicker can be used with a laptop as a GPS-mouse with any moving map software packages that accepts standard NMEA protocol. However, TT QV features a special plug-in for the Trackpicker, allowing for a very simple plug and play operation.

Please note that the trackpicker is completely freestanding - no additional GPS receiver is required for any of the described functions!
